Williston Woods in Minnetonka
We started with an abandoned house and a distressed, neglected house and created five buildable lots on 1.85 acres of land. The reduced scale preserves the neighborhood feeling and provides an attractive option for homebuyers who want to downsize and live in a walkable community. Williston Woods West is a high-demand product compatible with existing and future surrounding uses. A smaller building footprint and lot size benefits the community by increasing the tax base and providing additional local customers for surrounding businesses.
About the Community
The name Minnetonka comes from a Dakota word meaning “great water” and this city lives up to its name. The city snuggles up to the shores of the massive lake - one of the largest in Minnesota. Originally sacred ground for Native Americans, Minnetonka has evolved from the first settlements in the mid 1800s to a township, a village and finally, the thriving city it is today. Today it is home to more than 50,000 residents and a number of major corporate headquarters.
Minnetonka’s motto “Quality is our nature” reflects the city’s commitment to preserve its natural resources – with 49 community parks, more than 81 miles of maintained sidewalks and trails and more than 1,000 acres of public open space Minnetonka has a lot to offer nature lovers.
Abundant shopping, dining, and entertainment options are nearby in St Louis Park, Wayzata, Hopkins, and Excelsior.
